Ava didn't want to miss out on the action of Jenny's birthday balloons so she had a good time playing with them.  Here are the photos that Rachel took.  I really like these.

Jenny on her 7th birthday

Here are a few good ones that Rachel took of Jenny on her 7th birthday on Wednesday.  She's holding the flowers, balloons, and a new stuffed bear that she received from our amazing family.  She was dressed up for ballet practice.  So cute.  She also got a new set of earrings supposedly from Ava but really from mom and dad.

Final photos in Jenny's room

This is the last batch of photos from a few weeks ago.  The first few are of Rachel and Jenny horsing around in Jenny's room.  You can see all of Jenny's stuffed animals.  The last one is of Jenny downstairs with Molly (the babysitter from GW University who Jenny just loves).  Ok - that's it for posting photos for tonight. We're ready to start a new week tomorrow after a really nice weekend.

Jenny at soccer

I had taken a few photos at Jenny's first soccer game of the season a few weeks ago but I forgot to post them to the blog.  The first one is of Jenny with her friend Maria Christina -- who happens to be one of the tallest girls in the class (even taller than some of the boys).  So it's not surprising that she's towering over Jenny.  The next one is of Jenny standing next to her soccer coach.  The final one is of Ava playing the role of sideline soccer fan.  I really enjoy taking both girls to Jenny's soccer games.  Ava has a great time, although she completely ignores the soccer.  Still, that doesn't crimp her style. Also, the kids love seeing her and playing with her.

Photos from a few weeks ago - a nice morning in the family room

As I was posting the photos from this weekend, I realized that I had forgotten to post the photos I took a few weeks ago (or maybe it was last weekend!).  In any case, there are some nice ones of the family right around breakfast time on the weekend.  I especially like the ones of Rachel and Ava -- everyone just looks so happy and I caught them when there were being silly.

Here are a few more from this weekend.  Jenny and I took this this morning right after we woke up (so don't mind the messy hair).  You can see that Ava was enjoying getting into Jenny's arts and crafts drawer (and of course chewing on whatever she found). In this case, I think she was enjoying a pen!

It seems like a while since we took photos so we made sure to take some photos on Saturday when the girls were dressed up to go to High Holiday services.  Rachel always picks out great outfits for the girls.  Ava's outfit was actually a hand-me-down from Jenny and it was beautiful.
