We are back home!

Ok - the travel was long and we got home at 2 am but we are finally home.  We left Mikul at 10 am this morning for the 2.5 hour drive to Managua.  It was a pretty wild drive - with the car having to stop for big cows and bulls in the road and mostly dirt roads.  The flight to Miami was fine but our Miami to DC flight was delayed for a few hours so we didn't leave until almost 11 pm.  So that's why we got home at 2 am.  The girls are all doing great (they were such good travelers).  Rachel and I just had a middle of the night snack and will go to bed soon.  Work tomorrow will be brutal.

One thing I  forgot to mention -- we ended up delaying our departure by one day.  We were supposed to leave on Saturday but the night before we left, Jenny ended up getting sick.  I won't gross you out with the details but it was the same stomach thing that Rachel and I had but hers was much worse.  We didn't want to risk traveling when she was feeling bad.  So we changed the flight and stayed one more day.  We were glad we made that decision because she needed the time to recover before we traveled today.

Before I go to bed, I uploaded the photos from the camera and I'll do a series of post with photos from different parts of the trip.  You can see from the photos how amazing the trip was.  Before I do that, I saw that when I was uploading the photos, there were some good ones I took of Jenny and Ava before we left for the trip so I have posted those below.  They are of us horsing around in the morning before Jenny left for camp.  I'm not sure why I took the one of the girls' feet but I like it.
